Two world perspective

KC has posted a dynamic perspective on the devastation that occurred as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Please read it. It says more than I could ever say. It is also a sobering reminder of how we must remain diligent and seek information for ourselves, because the media only want to show you what sells. KC, please let us know what we can do to help. As I stated earlier, we are preparing for a number of evacuees in Ohio, but I know that there is so much more to do. Please support my friend in the Lord.

Ron thanks for the link and thanks to all for your prayers and support. The immediate crisis is over for most people and many are trying to come to grips with what’s happened and what will happen in the immediate future. Your prayers that God will lead them in understanding and acceptance will avail much. For those who desire to help I suggest you support the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. There will be a short period of relocation for some but most will eventual rely on short term FEMA housing (mostly mobile homes) established in or near their home towns. There are many who will have to deal with not only material loss but the loss of loved ones and we should especially remember these in our prayers. We should remember also that God has provided for His people to perform what seem to be miracles in the wake of this destruction and above all I would encourage each of us to offer our thanks for His blessings and mercy in everything. Truly it could have been so much worse.

That was a great link to a great post. Thanks.

FEMA trailers have been used in Charlotte County, Florida, where hurricane Charlie hit. Calling them adequate is an overstatement.

Still, five years from now, all will be well and God will have shown that He still has an abundance of mercy and grace.
